On August 19, 2022 the MSU Faculty of Physics announced The Andrei Sakharov Scholarship competition. Applications are open till September 15, 2022 after which they will be reviewed and selected candidates will be submitted for final approval to the Board of Trustees of The Andrei Sakharov Science Endowment Fund.

On November 15, 2021, the Physics Department of MSU announced a competition for The Andrei Sakharov Scholarships. The submission deadline expired on November 27, 2021. On November 15, 2021 the MSU Faculty of Physics announced The Andrei Sakharov Scholarship competition. Applications are open till November 27, 2021 after which they will be reviewed and selected candidates will be submitted for final approval to the Board of Trustees of The Andrei Sakharov Science Endowment Fund.
On April 27, 2021 the MIPT Scientific Council established The Andrei Sakharov Scholarships for MIPT students and accepted corresponding rules and regulations. Similar decisions had been previously made by the MSU Scientific Council on August 28, 2020.
